Gracie Parker

I believe therapy is a place where you can feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported as you reconnect with yourself and create meaningful change. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time outdoors, staying active, and making memories with friends and my dog, Ranger. I’m also the artist behind Gracie Parker Creative, where I create oil paintings and pottery rooted in authenticity, growth, and genuine expression. Whether I’m in the therapy room or the art studio, I’m inspired by connection, nature, and the small moments that make life feel meaningful.

Why I Became a Therapist

The reasons I initially sought counseling were rooted in a recognition that I didn’t have all the answers and a desire to explore those uncertainties in an authentic and safe space. Counseling provided me with consistent support, offering a nonjudgmental environment where I could delve into my experiences and emotions. One of the most valuable aspects of this process was having someone hold space for me, helping me find the language to express what I was feeling and experiencing. This experience has inspired me to pursue a career where I can provide the same supportive, evidence-based foundation for others.

Counseling has had a transformative impact on my life and the lives of those around me. Through the process, I have become more connected with myself, gaining a deeper understanding of my thoughts, emotions, and worries. Counseling has allowed me to recognize and acknowledge these concerns, helping me approach them with greater awareness and compassion. It has empowered me to become more authentically myself, fostering stronger and more meaningful relationships with others. One of the most significant outcomes of my counseling experience has been improved communication; knowing what I need and being able to articulate it has enhanced my ability to set healthy boundaries and pursue what is truly meaningful to me.

My decision to pursue a graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling stems from my personal experiences with therapy and my belief in its transformative potential. I have witnessed firsthand how self-awareness and in-depth personal growth can positively impact both the present and the future. I want to hold an authentic and safe space for others to engage in meaningful, depth-oriented work that fosters growth and healing.

What I Enjoy Most About Helping Clients

I believe that healing begins when people feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. At the heart of my work is the belief that people are naturally wired for connection, aliveness, and wholeness. I am passionate about helping clients develop greater self-awareness, reconnect with their emotions and their bodies, and find language for their internal experiences.I enjoy helping clients strengthen their relationship with themselves while fostering more meaningful relationships with others. My clinical interests include trauma-informed, depth-oriented work that supports lasting growth and healing, and I strive to create an authentic therapeutic relationship where clients feel supported as they navigate life’s challenges, strengthen healthy boundaries, and move toward lives that feel more connected and meaningful.

My Counseling Style

I strive to create a safe, curious, compassionate, and collaborative space where clients feel free to explore who they are beneath the patterns that have shaped them. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel genuinely seen and supported as we work together toward greater connection, healing, and a deeper sense of aliveness.

I Help With

I commonly work with individuals navigating complex developmental trauma, religious trauma or “church hurt,” identity development, and feelings of disconnection from themselves. Many clients come to therapy searching for answers in the present, only to discover that healing often begins by gently exploring the roots of the patterns that once helped them survive but now interfere with relationships, self-worth, or a sense of authenticity. Together, we work toward greater self-awareness, reconnecting with the mind and body, and building a life that feels more grounded, connected, and aligned with who they truly are.
